Casting

With over twenty years of experience as a casting director in New York City, Pamela Fahey and Pamela Fahey Casting have provided exceptional and signature casting to a wide-range of advertisers, producers and directors both nationally and internationally in television, radio, film and theater.

We will present you with an incomparable array of talent to enhance and support your project for television, radio, animation, promos, industrials, books or the new media demands of the internet.

The challenge of interpreting the casting specs and offering choices beyond the usual "cattle calls" inspires us every time new boards or scripts hit our desks. And though we do have a great team here, Pamela is personally involved in every project. At the audition itself, we get the very best from actors. Our specialty is creating a comfortable and creative environment for actors. Together, we make every job new and fresh.

We do all of our New York casting at Endeavor Studios. It's a fantastic facility where we can instantly upload and email you sessions as soon as they are done. If you prefer, we can also do our casting session at your facility.

If your project involves casting in NY and LA, we are affiliated with two terrific casting directors in LA. We can easily have simultaneous sessions scheduled on both coasts.

Consulting

We recognize that the demands of our industry are constantly changing and sometimes there simply isn't enough time to hold a casting session. In that situation, we have the expertise to consult with you on your project and advise you as to the best way to handle your project's needs.

Just like with a regular casting session, you provide us with scripts or boards and casting specs and we will give you several options. We can gather demo reels or remote auditions from appropriate talent and email you a casting link with that.

Either way, we will be happy to book the talent for you and follow the project through to the end.

Bio

Pamela Fahey

All my life I've been obsessed with picking the right actor for the right role.

Really.

As a child, I remember watching films with my mother, then telling my friends at the schoolyard the next day all about the cast. This tradition continues to this day (though now it's more likely over a glass of wine than a juice box).

So of course, I was delighted as a young woman to find myself as an assistant casting director at NYC advertising agency Jordan, Case & McGrath. Here, I was fortunate to have a great mentor, Vivian Hale, who guided me and allowed me to develop my own style. Eventually I became Casting Director for the agency and headed the Casting Department there for 8 years.

In 1990, I started Pamela Fahey Casting and my world expanded even further. With New York's incomparable talent pool at my doorstep, I was, and still am, constantly excited to discover and follow the work of the fine actors in this city.

This also gave me the opportunity to expand beyond commercial casting. Casting animation, television, film and theater.

I also started directing sketch comedy. An entree into the world of comedy and comedians that remains to this day.

When I'm not casting, I'm theatre-going.

When I'm not theatre-going, I'm showcase or sketch comedy directing.

When I'm not directing, I'm watching movies and re-casting them in my head.

A client of mine once commented during a session, "I don't know how you do this all day, every day, hearing and seeing the same thing over and over again." All I can say is for me, it's never the same thing.
